Description: This item is an empty amber cork closure style bottle of Kidney Pills made by Nelson, Baker, & Co Detroit Michigan. This is very old and likely was made shortly after 1906. The bottle measures about 4 5/8 X 1 5/8 inches. The bottle seems to be in excellent condition. There are a number of small bubbles present in the glass. The paper label is intact and quite readable. The label style is somewhat crude. It does have soiling and toning associated with it's age and long term storage/moving around over the years. It appears the bottle may have originally held 300 pills as 300 is written on the top label portion. There is a handwritten BBC with a pencil slash underline...we believe this to be a price code written on the bottle at the old drugstore. There is a small triangular sticker at the bottle neck..with a small portion missing to the right side. We cannot see a clear manufacturer's ID on this sticker. The paper label seems to be in good shape with wear/soiling. The product contained an interesting/unusual mix of drugs/herbs...Ext Asparagus, Ext Buchu, Ex Digitalis, Ex Squill, Podophyllin, Potassium Nitrate, and Juniper Oil. There is a small label indicating the product was guaranteed by Nelson & Baker under the June 1906 Food Drug Act. Label also shows this to be No. 871 and has a serial number. Please carefully look at the pictures to assist you with determining the condition.
