Description: ANTIQUE. RARE. EMPTY. EMPIRE BREWERY BOTTLE. BEADLESTON & WOERZ. EXCELSIOR. Greenwich Village, New York. Origins date back to 1825 in Troy, New York. Greenwich Village later became their home, opening in 1846 as Empire Brewing, a branch of the Troy brewery. First established in 1878 as Beadleston & Woerz. Bottling began in 1887. They were finally Incorporated in 1889. This bottle not to be sold. Bottle dates before 1910. After 1920 there were no seams on the bottles due to being mechanically spun. Pre-prohibition heavy thick clear glass beer bottle. Excellent used condition with very little wear. Minor blown glass bubbles and such. No chips or breaks or scratches. Light film inside. Embossed lettering on one side only. No missing letters. Very clean but not perfect. Made for a cork lined crown. 701 appears on the bottom. A great piece of American history. Heavy, thick glass. About 9 inches tall. Rinsed clean only. This bottle may have been refilled many times. Only one available. Make a fair offer. This is the actual item you will receive.
