Description: This is a map which shows where everyone lived in the Town of Ellery, Chautauqua County, New York in 1881. This map was reproduced on fine natural color parchment. It's approximately 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat. The pictures provided show only a portion of each actual map. Please contact with any questions! Contained on the map are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of the town of Ellery. Some of the areas shown are Bemus Point, Ellery Center, West Ellery, Oriental Park, Phillips Mills, Shore Acres, Clarks Corners, Colburns, Griffiths, Bayview, Maple Springs, Towerville and Belleview. It's hard to make out the specifics from my poor picture, however it is indeed crystal clear on the actual map! Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Warren, Russell, Brown, Weaver, Hamilton, Hunt, Barney, Steward, Benedict, Griffith, Cooper, Felton, Noble, Warner and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the map are schools, businesses, railroads and rivers/streams. Due to space availability on this map, the more densely populated areas don't show surnames. It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors! Multiple purchases can be combined for one shipping charge!
