There is no serial stamp or Made in Japan notation, so it is probably an SL1200 made in 1976, the first year of sales. Considering its age, probably it is a relatively clean item. The rear PU cover has been removed, but it is thought to be the original PU. There is no scratching in the electrical system. The frets appear to be about 70% remaining and there is no choking. The neck looks straight and the rod has not been tampered with. The catalog specs are reminiscent, with a maple top, mahogany back, maple neck, and ebony fingerboard. Guitar stand is not included.
