The semi-hollow structure combines a hollow body carved from solid mahogany with a maple top to achieve a boxy feel while suppressing howling. The neck is made of a five-layer structure of three layers of maple and two layers of walnut, making it a thin yet strong neck. The pickup is made of Alnico material, and is equipped with VOX's original bass pickup that has a vintage style but also has the power and sound to handle the modern music scene. This pickup is specially designed to match the VBW series, including the spacing of the pole pieces and the number of coil windings. The pickguard, control panel, and pickup escutcheon are made of chrome-plated metal, just like the original. The top of the body is made of flame maple. It has a painted finish that makes the most of the wood grain and wooden binding.
