Description: Warm greetings from Japan. Thank you very much for visiting our listing. This is a famous electric bass guitar from Rickenbacker, the 4001 Jetglo. The serial on the plate indicates that it was made in 1975. It has a well-used look with peeling paint and pick marks, but all the parts are original. It has a thick sound that is characteristic of a through-neck guitar, and a thin body that makes it easy to handle. The neck is currently slightly warped, and the string height is set at 2.5mm/0.1 inch for the 4th string and 2.0mm/0.1 inch for the 1st string at the 12th fret. The frets are about 50% remaining, and the 1st string is a little muffled around the 7th fret, but it is not that noticeable, and if it bothers you, it can be resolved by grinding it down. The nut was worn out, so the original nut material was used to raise the bottom with cow bone. The truss rod has room on both sides, but due to its structure, the fingerboard has peeled off near the nut, and although it has been repaired with glue once, it is slightly floating. The string tension makes it fit perfectly, so there is no problem in using it. There are many marks and peeling paint on the body overall. There are traces of a crack repair on the pickguard. The electrical system is fully original, but has been re-soldered in several places. The bridge is original, but due to its structure, it is warped in the direction of string pulling. There was a period when a Schaller 3D-4 bridge was attached, and the extra screw holes are open. Rust and corrosion can be seen on the metal parts such as the jack plate and pickup ring. The original truss rod part (made of aluminum and weak, so a steel washer is attached to the main body) is included. It will be placed in a non-original hard case.
