Description: An Edison Amberola 'X' Phonograph in excellent condition. This is a fairly rare machine and in all of my years of collecting have never seen another. This machine was introduced in 1913 at a cost of $30 and had a Fireside upperworks coupled with a Gem motor. An odd combination of sorts. The model B reproducer is in excellent condition and should only play the Edison Blue Amberol cylinder records. The motor in these were rarely capable of playing a 4 minute record without another winding and this is true of this one. This machine has been oiled and greased and there is no 'thumping' of the main spring.
