Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Dimension: 19.1cm Diameter, 5.3cm HeightDescription:An authentic and rare Chinese antique piece blue and white washer with painted bouquet bundle lotus with a central flower and radiating leaves, lotus pods, budding flowers and foliage tied in a ribbon-like tie all painted in the center, the 10-sided washer walls is flared with signs of hand pressed moulds, the external cavetto is painted with lotus medallion on each panel, all covered with bluish tinge glaze except the foot rim showing fine off white paste with some traces of burnt orange grit, the base with six character “da ming xuan de nian chi” of Xuande reign 15th century. This washer is consistent with aging with signs of old coral encrustations, the cobalt painted is brilliant with sunken feel effect typical of once-existed Sumali or Kashan cobalt, the Xuande mark is also a testament of excellent calligraphy of early Ming dynasty Xuande 15th century.
