Description: This pen is an American made EBERHARD FABER (not Castell..template would not accept anything else) HARMO-TONE, from which I conclude the two shades of brown on the cap and barrel are intentional. The pen is 5-3/16" long and has black end caps with a series of decorative rings which extend over the end caps and beyond on both the cap and barrel. The nib is marked "FABER, BROAD, MADE IN, USA" and appeared to have good iridium tips. I wasn't certain of the gold content until I removed a little ink from the nib surface to find the plating had mostly departed as well. So it is a partly gold plated nib with, I assume, has steel tips as well. At any rate, the nib appears excellent with very modest flexibility, or almost firm. There is a light streak of toning on the gold filled cap ring which I decided to leave alone after the nib experience. The lever filling system seems to work perfectly. The barrel has a nice "HARMO-TONE, EBERHARD FABER USA, PAT APPL. FOR" imprint. Prior to bidding, please read below the information on payment, return policy and on international shipping.
