Description: Early Vietnam War M1910 Canteen Cover Condition: Great, with no holes, tears, or other damage. There is staining on the back and fading of the OD Green color (see pictures), along with some broken stitching on the top right flap edge. All of the hardware and snaps work fine. This cover is faintly marked on the back: Cover, Canteen Dismounted and dated 1957 (best viewed with an infrared camera). These early Vietnam era covers with the brass hook (as opposed to alice clips) were often issued to military advisers during the early stages of the war. These original covers are getting harder to find in this condition, so don't miss out on this one!
