The wood is decorated with incised marks. It has been cleaned and has a beautiful handrubbed waxed patina. It was used for separating the fibers in the flax to prepare it for spinning into strands to make linen. It measures 14" long X 4-1/4" wide. The spikes are 6" long and protrude 5" after going through the wood and iron plate.A really great early original authentic piece to add to your collection or decor. PR41 Check out my other items!
