Description: Offered is an hearly James Avery, handmade, mixed metal, belt buckle. There is nothing about it that is cast or made for mass production. It roughly measures 2 5/8” wide by 2 5/8” tall. But is not truly square. It is made of sterling silver and copper. The backplate is solid sterling silver So it’s a mixed metal, belt buckle, handmade by James Avery, probably during the early 1950’s. Depicting a Hereford bull and it’s an early, one of a kind piece that’s ready to wear having no damages or repairs. My son showed it on a Facebook a while back. It’s got to be one of the best buckles out there. I contacted James Avery jewelry, headquarters and they forwarded me to the research division over this item. They verified the mark but said it was made before records on pieces, their design and makeup, started being kept. So it’s verified as being real and it fully shows the artistic talent of the creator. So now, with all that said, what’s it really worth? It was made by hand, not cast for production. Meaning this is quite possibly and is being priced as if it is 1 of 1 … Yes the asking price is 10,000$ … if you want to offer less, feel free but I truly believe my price is fair.
