Early Ebonite Craig (Sheaffer) Fountain Pen. Clip stamped “Pat 9. 16. 19”, note the clip installation is pinned through the cap top which is rather unusual. Barrel imprinted “Craig” Ebonite color is very sharp, if you hold the barrel under the right light you can see a slight color variation where the price band was around the diameter of the barrel. Being an early example, I believe the Warranted 3 Flexible nib may be correct. The nib is smooth, picture with writing sample is dip tested only. Note: - very subtle scratches on side of lever - extremely minor pin sized nick on cap lip - perhaps manufacturing blemish. You may have not noticed if it wasn’t noted. Rare, early, clean, example.
