Description: This very old sign is in remarkable shape. As you can see from the photos, It was obviously never used or displayed. It’s retained its original gold on black paint. The sign measures 14 1/2 x 6 inches and is made of a harder material (not metal) on top of a heavy cardboard backing. There’s a slight diagonal line running from the bottom right corner up to the word “Your.” I think it’s so straight that it’s probably a minute seam of the material over the cardboard backing. The closeup photos really exaggerate it. Looking at the back of the sign, you can see it can be either hung or displayed on a surface. It has its original string in case you want to hang it. I don’t know much about the company, but I do know that it existed in 1921, based on an old newspaper ad promoting Sinbac’s Shoes for Girls. The logo is really neat and bold, asking parents to “Protect your Children’s Feet.” If you’re a collector of early Chicago advertising, the sign would be a great piece to display or frame.
