Description: EAPG SCALLOPED TOP HERCULES FIGURAL MILKGLASS COMPOTE MADE IN THE 1870'S-80'S PERIOD BY ATTERBURY. IN PITTSBURGH. THIS IS A RATHER FAMOUS PIECE OF PATTERN GLASS AND ALSO WAS MADE WITH A LACY OPEN WORK EDGE AND IS SOMETIMES FOUND DECORATED. THIS COMPOTE IS IN GOOD USED CONDITION WITH SEVERAL FLAKES ON THE BOTTOM AND A COUPLE OF RELATED SHORT CRACKS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROUND BASE THAT ARE ABOUT 3/8" IN LENGTH. THESE ARE INSIGNIFICANT DAMAGE FOR AN ARTICLE THAT IS 140 OR 150 YEARS OLD AND IN NO WAY COMPROMISE IT'S UTILITY. THANKS FOR LOOKING.
