Description: Offered for your consideration is a beautiful open compote made by the Tarentum Glass Company (1894-1918) in their "Albany" pattern. Also known as Beveled Diamond and Star, this pattern was introduced in 1894. The compote measures 9 inches (22.9 cm) in diameter and is 7.5 inches (19.1 cm) tall. Large open compote is in excellent used condition with no cracks, chips, nor roughness. There may be very faint surface scratches and there is one short, deeper scratch, see last photo. The glass is bright and clear with no cloudiness nor lime scale present, but the glass may have very slight discoloration. There may be bubbles, a shear (straw) mark, and other minor imperfections within the glass due to the manufacturing process used at the time.
