Description: Offered for your consideration is a clear glass cream pitcher and sugar bowl made by the Imperial Glass Company (1904-1984) in their number 555 pattern. Also known as "Whirling Star", this pattern was introduced in 1915. Both pieces are marked "NuCut". The creamer measures slightly less than 4 inches (10.2 cm) tall, just under 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) wide, and is 5.25 inches (13.3 cm) from tip of spout to outer edge of handle. The sugar bowl is 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) tall, 4 inches (10.2 cm) wide, and is 6.25 inches (15.9 cm) between outer edges of handles. These pieces are heavy as the glass is 0.33 inches (0.83 cm) thick. The creamer and sugar bowl are in very good used condition. There is a heat check line or possible fracture in creamer handle and there are chips and roughness on sugar bowl base. No other noticeable damage. See photos. The items have bright clear glass with no cloudiness, discoloration, nor lime scale present. There may be bubbles, shear (straw) marks, and other minor imperfections due to the manufacturing process used at the time. This creamer and sugar bowl will be shipped from a smoke-free home and will be packed securely for shipping. Good luck and thank you for your interest.
