The photo only shows the 6 different pieces of the set, but all 32 pieces (16 pawns, 4 rooks, 4 knights, 4 bishops, 2 queens and 2 kings) are included. The following are the dimensions of each of the pieces: King - 5 1/2" tall Queen - 5" tall Bishop - 4 3/4" tall Rook - 4 1/2" tall Knight - 4 1/2" tall Pawn - 3 1/4" tall The base of each of the pieces is 1 3/4" in diameter. All bisque was fired to cone 04. Any colored pictures which may be shown in this listing were included for the purposes of giving you a better view of the piece and providing you with painting ideas.
