Nintendo released it as part of the release of the e-Reader accessory, to help promote the e-Reader accessory. It is a special bundle which contains inside a GBA system, e-Reader accessory, and a starter pack of e-Reader cards. Not very many were sold, and today, it has become a quite rare GBA system bundle to find. Today, it has become a sought after item by both GBA and Nintendo collectors alike, due to both the interesting nature of the item itself, as well as for the rarity, and has gained strong collectible value. It is EXACTLY the same as the Game Boy Advance system from the 2001 North American GBA system launch! This e-Reader Bundle outer box itself is also in BEAUTIFUL, NEAR MINT condition. It would be difficult to find one in nicer one. If you are the type of collector who would consider grading this, we believe it would grade very nicely. The outer box is near perfect. Box corners are all SHARP -- SO SHARP THEY COULD POKE YOUR EYE OUT (so be careful!!)! However, there is 1 corner in the back-bottom-left, that has a small bumping that has occurred which has left behind a tiny blemish in that area (see photos). Other than that, box has only very minor, minuscule surface scratches and wear, which is difficult to even notice unless you look CLOSE, like under a microscope and with a bright light. NEAR PERFECT condition, better than most others you will come across. IDEAL for collectors who love having among the best quality and condition items possible in their collections.
