Description: This is the only 35 inch example I’ve seen or am aware of. Patented by Edwin Barnes of Boston, MA on February 16, 1875. A fine example with full working vials and undamaged mirrors. Gorgeous high-grade mahogany with a great little section of light sapwood in one corner. This is the longest length Barnes’ patent I’m aware of. All known examples are incorrectly marked with the patent date of September 20, 1874 – It is unknown why they were marked like this. Please review all photos carefully - they are part of the description (returns will not be accepted because of something visible in the photos). Please ask if you have any questions or would like additional photos.
