The product does not expire after that date, meaning the fungi won’t die the day after the expiration date is over. What may happen is a slight degradation in concentration of the fungi. So that for instance, from 900 propagule‘s per gram, it could go down to 800. This degradation is slow though. Given that other products have far less fungi in them than we do, you’d still have a more concentrated product even with the degradation! Mykos has 300 propagules per gram compared to what we’ve got in it. So even if half our fungi died, you’d still have more than what Mykos has in theirs! We are now looking at older batches from 2019 and seeing their efficacy in order to examine if we can extend that expiration date. We most likely will too.
