He served as the president and/or chairman of the board of the Cessna Aircraft Company from 1935 until the 1970s. He was the nephew of Clyde Cessna and in 1934 he and his brother Dwight took control of the business of Cessna through the Depression and developed the company into the most produced aircraft in history, Cessna 172. He controlled the company until the 1970s Typed letter signed 1936 as General Manager on Cessna Aircraft Company to D. M. Campbell from Aluminum Company of America. A good follow up letter about selling Mr. Campbell a 1936 Warner powered Cessna.
