Description: D.W. Brunton's WM Ainsworth Surveyors Geological Pocket Transit Shipped with USPS Ground Advantage. I believe this may have been Military, but not 100% sure. Serial number 70288. In very good to excellent condition. See pictures and zoom in please, see just below the hinge on the side that opens, left side. Also see pictures of inside, same side for small change in color of metal. If you have any questions please ask prior to purchase. The serial is just 5 numbers making this a bit earlier, I'm only guessing between 1905-1944. These are very difficult to open, you definitely need some strength. I'm thinking it may be due to age and it doesn't appear to be used very much. Thank you.
