Description: This 1968 German import stereo LP from Telefunken (6.42214) features Antonín Dvořák's Zigeunermelodien, Op. 55 and Johannes Brahms' Deutsche Volkslieder. Both are performed by Peter Schreier (Tenor) and Rudolf Dunckel (Piano). Album notes on the back are the full lyrics, entirely in German. (See Photo 2) However, also included is a home-made, double-sided sheet of the same lyrics accompanied by their English translations (Photo 3), photocopied from another album and cut-and-pasted onto yellow lined notebook paper, apparently arranged in the order that they were to be sung in a public performance sometime in the past. The outer sleeve is in extremely good condition, showing only a taped cutout near the lower right corner of the front (Photo 1) and a small collection index sticker in the upper right corner of the back. (Photo 2) This is one of many titles from an extensive collection of classical LPs and CDs that we will be listing here. All have been carefully stored for many years, played only on premium equipment, and show little to no wear.
