Description: The Broadway Concert starring Lea Salonga and the San Miguel Philharmonic Orchestra. The performance was produced by Gerard Salonga. This is a licensed video recording of a live performance at Philippine International Convention Center. The Artist: Lea Salonga is a Filipino musical star who conquered Broadway and London in Boublil and Schönberg's Miss Saigon - she invented the role of Kim. She also played the role of street waif Éponine in the Broadway production of Les Misérables; later the lead in the reinvented Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Flower Drum Song. Her voice has been featured in several Disney movies as the female lead's singing voice, most notably in Alladin and Mulan. Her voice is simply amazing - she sounds better in a live performance than most artists in a recorded session! The Performance: Lea Salonga performs a mix of old and new Broadway show tunes from Boublil and Schönberg, Rodgers and Hammerstein and others (complete listing below). One of the highlights of this performance is her rendition of "Too Much for One Heart", a number originally written for Miss Saigon but which was replaced by the duet "Please" just before the musical opened.
