It contains an 8-day movement and it chimes on the half and full hour (chimes beautifully). This clock works perfectly. It's weight driven by two brass weights. The dial is handpainted. This clock has some traces of age, please see photos. The height of the clock is about 56 centimeter and the width is 21 centimeter. In inches: the height is 22" inches, the width is 8" inches. The pendulum has the form of a sun. The clock is made in the 1960s. The Sallander clocks were made in Salland, which is a region in the Netherlands. Their design is typical for this region.
