Description: Up for auction is a gorgeous piece of Early American Pattern Glass- this is Duncan's Sons, George and Co.'s #20 design, also known as Grated Diamond and Starburst Compote. Beautiful, large bowl with a swirled base. The piece is in great shape considering it is coming up on its 128th birthday. There are a few tiny fleabites along the very bottom of the piece and a scratch on the base (it may buff out, I haven't tried), and with very very close inspection I noticed a few of the ripples on the edge have some rough spots and one has a tiny nick- please see pics and I can send more if necessary. The glass is beautifully clear and it measures 7" tall, and 9 3/4" wide. Nice and heavy, this compote weighs in at 3 pounds!
