Description: Dug and non dug Union Civil War New York 13th militia regiment coat buttons. Both were part of The Richard Hammond collection. He dug the one and purchased the non dug version to display with it. They have matching c.1860 depressed SCOVILL MF'G. CO, WATERBURY. backmarks. The dug 13th has great gold and detail and is solid as a rock. It does have a large push and missing shank though. It is a tough dug NY regiment button to find.
