He previously headed the same department and R&D department at UPES, Dehradun. His lab focusses on MEMS, Microfluidics and Nanoelectronics for Energy and Bio Applications. Sanket has won awards including the JSPS Fellowship (2021), BITS Best Faculty Award (2021), and Fulbright fellowship (2015). He has >250 publications and 16 patents to his credits and has delivered >85 invited talks and has guided 40 PhD students. Sohan completed his Doctoral Degree from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus in the field of Bio-MEMS. During his doctoral program, Sohan worked on microfluidic cardiac cell culture systems and developing cardiac biomarker assessment systems. Prior to his doctoral program, Sohan completed an extra credit program with Hiroshima University. Sohan also holds a masters degree in mechanical engineering from BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus and a Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Manipal University Jaipur.
