Description: Dresden Hirsch Hand Painted Watteau Courting Couple Cobalt Gold Tea Cup & Saucer Pretty antique porcelain tea cup with entwined handle and saucer. Decorated in alternating panels with hand painted Dresden flowers over cobalt and scenes with hand painted courting couples. Each panel is framed by gold gilt scrollwork designs. Marked on the bottom in blue with a winged H over Dresden. This mark was used by Franziska Hirsch in Dresden, Germany between 1901 and 1930. Probably made between 1901 and 1915. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. The cup measures approximately 4 3/8 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/2 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
