Chiffon - Kimono Style Split Sleeves - Pearl Beaded Sheer Bodice - Delicate Snap Threads to Hold Slip in Place - Double Layered Handkerchief Hem Skirt - Elastic Waist - Original Ribbon Belt * Slip is not included The only thing making me doubt that this is from the 1930s or the 1940s is the length of the dress and the quality of the elastic band on the waist. The stitching itself is really beautifully done, almost looks handstitched. It has all of its original pearls and it looks as though the dress was hand dye to create the ombre effect This was most likely a costume piece, and it shows with the care in creation and quality of the dress Size: Womens Measures Shoulder to shoulder- 16” Bust- 32” Waist- 22-28” Hips- Free Sleeve Length- 16” Cuff circumference- 28” Shoulder to Hem- 46” Shoulder to Waist- 17” Please carefully examine photos FLAWS- Repair at the top of the bodice The top of this dress is extraordinarily dingy, like layers and layers of dust settled on it for decades. Because of the delicate silk, it feels like silk at least, fabric I did not attempt to clean the dress and it does absolutely need to go to a dry cleaner. I do believe much of the dinginess will come out, with proper cleaning- or you can do an overlay dye It was really really hard to photograph this, but trust me it is there I am not overstating the fact that it needs to go to a dry cleaner and be treated ************ Please Note- all items sold are finds sourced from estate sales and thrift stores in the Hollywood area of Southern California. As they are previously owned items it is always a good plan to plan to have the items taken to your local green dry cleaner before wearing. Some items may be wrinkled from storage.
