Description: Beginning his career in commercial illustration and then moving on to freelance work for various magazine and book publishers, Doug Sneyd also illustrated cartoons for Canada’s largest circulation newspaper, the Toronto Star, (cartoons that were ultimately syndicated throughout North America). He is best known, however, for his decades-long association with Playboy. Sneyd began illustrating gag strips for the magazine in 1964, ultimately contributing over 500 cartoons in all and became a fan-favorite artist among Playboy readers. For this illustration, which measures 8 1/2 by 11 inches, Sneyd used Dr. Ph. Martin’s aniline dyes and rendered the drawing on standard copy paper. In good condition overall (it is a prelim and therefor is not expected to be perfect), it will be shipped very securely via USPS Priority Mail.
