Donghia Rubelli MODERN ART Madreperla Italian Velvet Art Deco Custom Pillow Covr

Description: Fabulous pillow cover made with Rubelli's Modern Art in the Madreperla, or Mother of Pearl color way, which I'd describe as a soft grey/brown. This is a viscose and cotton velvet. A new edition of the original velvetdesigned by the artist Alfredo Carnelutti and woven by Rubellifor the Art Biennale in 1934. In pure art deco style it featuresirregular horizontal shapes created by the viscose pile, whichstretch out over a ground enriched by small golden diamondshapes. The combination of precious materials and a noble art,such as that of velvet makes this fabric a true classic. I backed the pillow cover with a high quality velvet in gold, it goes beautifully! This is for the cover, I recommend an insert an inch or two larger than the cover for a superb look! Knife edge construction. Invisible zipper closure. Fabric edges are serged. All products in my store are designed and hand made by me in my workroom studio.
