Description: 1971 Music Style: Heavy Psych, Prog Rock, Acid Rock, Blues Rock Original Canadian Pressing on Jupiter I am selling this starter copy of this rare French-Canadian psychedelic rock behemoth. One of Quebec's best-kept secrets, Dionysos was an early 1970s group who's sound was driven by fuzz guitar and organ, complimented with wasted French vocals and occasional flute. "Le Grand Jeu", their 1971 debut, is by far their best album and a true must-have for any heavy psych enthusiast! The vinyl has visible wear on both sides (let's say G condition). Most of it is superficial, with some marks being more visible than others (including one in the middle of song 2 side 2). THIS IS ALL SHOWN IN THE IMAGES (UNDER LAMP LIGHTING), so please consult them! The album has been tested on the turntable and plays throughout with only some mild background noise, which is mostly drowned out but the sheer heaviness of the music. There is, however, two instances of distortion on song 1 side 1 when the vocals start, and a similar thing in the opening of song 1 side 2. I did not time them but each one definitely lasts less than 30 seconds. Lastly, there is a split second (and almost unnoticeable) jump (it does not loop though) at the start of song 2 side 2 before the music begins to mount in volume. The jacket has signs of wear as well, including some ring wear and crease lines. The inner gatefold is clean, save for a small split in the inner fold. The spine has some wear too. Missing the original insert. This is not a terrible copy. While it has some condition issues, it is perfectly playable and it does not take away from the brilliance of this album. ***AUDIO CLIPS CAN BE PROVIDED!
