Description: Think you know every Diaclone variant? Even the non-Transformer molds reproduced in the southern hemisphere? Out of Argenitna comes the most flamboyant version of Battle Buffalo Diatron-3! The name Diatron-3 has me a tad confused as to whether this was officially licensed or not. It can't help but remind me of the Korean MICRO-COMMANDO DIATRON-5 cartoon, wherein Battle Buffalo was actually Diatron-5, Diatron-3 was actually Big Powered, Warudaros played Paras-B, and a human-sized SD Gunpla and Votoms Scopedog are thrown in among humans copied from Space Runaway Ideon character models. The fact that all the Diaclone toys featured are pre-Car-Robo make it ironic that there's a more common English dub called Space Transformers produced by Joseph Lai, who translated some other Korean cartoons with a few actual TF designs in them. Footage from the intro would also be used as the opening scene in Space Thunderkids, the greatest animated feature ever edited together by a blender (at least before YouTube). But, I can't hold onto everything tangentially connected to my cult classic cartoons, so now's your chance to own an almost forgotten foreign variant of a Takara classic! This set is mostly plastic, apparently made from the Battle Buffalo model kit molds, but while the pilots and some accessories are still on the parts trees, waiting to be assembled, the 3 vehicles are pre-assembled and combined into robot mode. I never separated or transformed them, only removing them for the above photos, but the previous owner clearly never even inserted the fists, since there is some thin plastic overspill that would need to be cut away first. There's a little elsewhere, most notably on the right shoulder, but nothing's broken or missing! The instructions show how to assemble the kit, rather than just combine it, reinforcing that this was indeed the model kit mold, sold pre-assembled. The box is damaged in places: an unfortunate tear in the lower half of the front, and a place where the factory tape peeled off a little of the art, but is still attached. It may not be perfect, but I challenge completists to find another one in this color scheme! If you'd like more pics or info, please ask before buying or offering. I showed everything as best I could in just 12 photos, and I've already placed Diatron-3 back in the bubble wrap, but I'll understand if anyone seriously interested has a lot of questions. I haven't yet looked into shipping insurance on this, but will certainly offer it if desired.
