This rare and wonderful Trivet made by Gabriel Fourmaintraux of Desvres, a French town famous for its hand-painted pottery. The design includes a colorful floral and a seated woman in a wooded setting wearing a Dutch costume. Beautiful high gloss finish, lovely design (a Dutch theme manufactured by Desvres). All colors are very vibrant - Desvres pottery is known for a creamy white background decorated with bright Delft blue, brilliant lemon yellow, iron red and sage green.
