The name only changed when it became more common to make it in black. This is an old book, 1976, but most of the projects are appealing. The book is in black and white but there is a full color insert with photos of the projects that are photo depicted and described in the rest of the book. The instructions for the stitches are almost as good as most of the ones seen in more modern books and includes the fabric, floss and colors used by the embroiderer. And, really, can you ever have enough winged griffin patterns? Ditto the sea serpent. But seriously she has included a Kabuki dancer, flowers & cobwebs, jousting horse & rider, frog wearing a top hat, seated cat (which would make an excellent stuffed toy), dancing clown, Noah’s ark (very busy pattern but no animals), Medieval receding forms (a geometric), paisley arrangement (hello 1970!), and more. I do NOT use "Stock Photos". Every item I sell has an individual scanned picture so you can see what you are REALLY getting. This is a previously owned lot in good condition; dustjacket is pretty tired, with worn edges, has clean & complete texts & good binding.
