Description: Derbyshire Blue John Flourspar Tazza Offered is an 18th century flourspar tazza from the Derbyshire blue john mines, an interesting piece of blue john, as you don`t find many clear cuts of blue john this size without finding veins of colour. This piece display well, however, it is not without fault! as it has a few chips/nibbles to the rim, mostly concealed to the underside of the rim, there is also a crack line across the bowl, which is normal with flourspar, however I believe this is from a break that has then been glued back, if so, a good job as pefectly lined and no visible glue, there is also 2 slices broken off the foot rim as shown in the images Size: 6cm tall x 11.25cm diameter Please visit my other listing for further bluejohn items.
