Description: Donald Kent Slayton [1924 1993] better known as Deke Slayton was a U.S World War II pilot, aeronautical engineer, test pilot, one of the original NASA Mercury astronauts, and a NASA Administrator. Listed for auction is a [TLS] typed letter signed by Deke Slayton on the letterhead the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and dated Feb 27, 1975. The letter is addressed to a collector and is signed ''Deke Slayton'' in blue pen above his typed name and title. The letter measures 8.25 x 10.50 inches and is in fine condition and has never been folded. The autograph is authentic, hand signed, and the letter is ideal for display. [Very nice clean example].
