Description: You are buying one Robin Covered Dish. The first photo shows the piece under standard LED lighting and the small insert photo shows the same piece under a black light. See photos for black light setup that was used. Degenhart Glass of Cambridge, Ohio (closed in 1978) made this Bloody Mary color Robin on Nest Covered Dish in the 1970's and is fairly rare. It measures about 5.5" across and is marked with their D in a heart factory logo (they started marking their items around 1972).In 1964 Mrs. Elizabeth Degenhart hired Zack Boyd (age 76) and his son Bernard C. Boyd to operate the glass manufacturing after her husband John's passing. Zack passed in 1968 and Bernard C. Boyd began the responsibility of mixing glass chemicals and preparing glass batches. Bernard, like his father, loved exploring chemical combinations that produced innovative glass colors and slags. No one else made as many variations of glass colors and especially slag colors as the Boyd’s. After Mrs. Degenhart died in 1978, the factory was sold to Bernard C., his son Bernard F. and wife Sue Boyd. They operated the factory as Boyd's Crystal Art Glass until 2014.No damage found.Combined shipping is possible on most small or medium sized items: however, combined shipping may not be possible on larger pieces or for combining more than two or three items. We will make every effort to combine items, when possible, to save you shipping costs.Inv. #960
