These will easily last another 70 years with normal handling. Author Notes: Edward Gibbon (1737-1794) was an English historian from a well-to-do family who lived a life of scholarship and delicate health. "Decline and Fall" is his life's labor. My books will have some evidence of having been handled or read, what are called 'reading copies' by collectors. I do not represent any books as having collectible value. Books may have previous owners' data written inside cover or on flyleaf. Some will be old with age-related discolorations or slight bending; none are cracked, falling apart, have torn or missing pages or writing or underlining inside pages UNLESS I mention it in "Condition Notes."
