Specimens have been found in the tomb of Pharaoh Amenhotep (1550 B.C.).It consists in a reproductive technique having nothing in common with the blow-pipe method used now by crystal manufacturers all over the world. This technique is so difficult to acquire that in the whole history of crystal making very few have been known to practice it. DAUM, after a few trials in 1905, has now brought this technique up to date after long and painstaking research, because he (the company) was attracted by the marvelous plastic possibilities of "Pate de Verre".The Works themselves are originals and exclusive productions of living sculptors; signed by the artist, they are numbered by their producer and each bears a guarantee of authenticity. The original is destroyed when the series is completed.
