Dakota Lithium Parallel Wiring Kit With Safety Fuse Protection

Description: Tap here to read more about the Dakota Lithium Parallel Wiring Kit With Safety Fuse ProtectionDakota Lithium Parallel Wiring Kit With Safety Fuse Protection IDEAL FOR GOLF CARTS & ELECTRIC VEHICLES200% TWICE THE POWER OF TRADITIONAL BATTERIES1/2 HALF THE WEIGHT5x CHARGES 5 X FASTER4x LASTS 4 X AS LONG100% SAFE & RELIABLE Connect up to four Dakota Lithium batteries (12-48V) in parallel to create higher capacity battery systems and battery banks. For example, connect 4 of the DL 12V 100Ah batteries in parallel to create a 12V 400Ah battery system. This kit includes high-amp rated wiring optimal for solar energy systems and battery banks, house battery systems for RVs and boats, and off-the-grid applications. Also included are fuse protection blocks that isolate each battery in the system to provide redundant safety. Each Dakota pack comes with individual internal Battery Management System (BMS) circuit board protection. In addition to that safety layer, when wiring packs to work in unison in a parallel array, we recommend adding an additional layer of safety by adding an isolation fuse to each pack. This further isolates any problem that operating your equipment at maximum ratings, or a harsh environment might throw at the batteries, and adds safety for very little additional effort. Safety fuse protection for up to 4 batteries in parallel is included in this wiring kit. This is a heavy duty kit optimized for solar battery banks in RVs, boats, and off-the-grid homes and cabins. For trolling motors we recommend wiring batteries in series or buying a single battery rated at the voltage needed. 12V trolling motor kit12V trolling motor kit w/ onboard charging24v trolling motor kit24v trolling motor kit w/ onboard charging36V trolling motor kit36V trolling motor kit with onboard charging Suitable for: RVS, VANS, CAMPERS, TRAILERS, AND MOBILE HOMESSOLAR BATTERY BANKSBOATS AND MARINE APPLICATIONSHOUSE BATTERY BANKSOFF-THE-GRID HOMES & CABINS What's Included PARALLEL WIRING KIT WITH SAFETY FUSE PROTECTION 1 x SpecificationsDAKOTA LITHIUM PARALLEL WIRING KIT WITH SAFETY FUSE PROTECTIONSpecificationsUnitBATTERY CONNECTIONSRing terminals connect to all 12-48V Dakota Lithium batteries 23Ah of capacity and largerWIRE GUAGE6 gauge wireCOMPATIBILITYConnects up to four batteries (12-48V) in parallel. This kit includes 4 fuse blocks and fuses, each rated for up to 150 Amps and 58 Volts, plus a spare fuse. Uses a standard fuse type, so other fuses can be interchanged if needed. Frequently Asked QuestionsTwice the Power? Yes! Here at Dakota Lithium we build all of our batteries with lithium iron phosphate technology which has many distinct advantages over traditional batteries. Including 60% less weight, a charging speed that is up to 5X faster, and a significantly longer lifespan (5-10 years longer on average). One of the most noticeable advantages however is the flat voltage curve. Unlike a lead acid battery where the voltage drops as you use the battery a Dakota Lithium battery has a steady voltage for 99% of the battery's charge. That means you get all the power down to the last drop and double the usable power of traditional batteries. Are Lithium Batteries Safe? Dakota Lithium batteries are 100% safe & reliable. Our signature chemistry, Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4), does not contain rare earth elements (like Cobalt) or heavy metals, is non-toxic, including no lead or acid, is non-corrosive, does not off gas, requires no watering or maintenance, can be placed in any orientation, and unlike other lithium batteries will not explode or catch fire. In addition, each Dakota Lithium battery is protected from over heating, over charging, and short circuiting, by a battery management system (BMS) microchip that also extends the lifespan and is contained in a rugged, waterproof case (although enough water can conduct electricity between the terminals, so don't submerse the battery). For best performance & reliability we recommend using a LiFePO4 charger. How do I charge a lithium battery? Dakota Lithium batteries perform best when charged by a lithium compatible charger. Lead acid or SLA chargers, on-board chargers for AGM batteries, or other non-lithium chargers will charge a Dakota Lithium battery but only to 70-80% of capacity. This is because Dakota Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) technology charges and is full at a higher voltage then traditional batteries (Dakota Lithium charges at 14.4 Volts). Chargers with a lithium battery setting or designed for lithium will charge at the appropriate voltage. See our full catalog of LiFePO4 battery chargers here. All batteries 54Ah and larger include a free LiFePO4 compatible charger. For troubleshooting tips download the Dakota Lithium battery user manual here. Will cold weather affect my battery? Your Dakota Lithium battery will discharge normally between a range of -20F and 120F (-29C to 49C). DL batteries are commonly used among ice fishers for their flashers and ice augers, so they are quite resilient and are frequently used in cold climates. In cases of extreme cold however, it is recommended that the batteries be insulated. We also do not recommend charging our batteries below freezing temperatures. If you are planning to regularly charge your battery below freezing temperatures we recommend the DL+ 12V 135Ah battery which has an internal heating element and is optimal for use in cars, trucks, RVs, off grid solar, and any application where the battery will be charged regularly in extremely cold environments (like a North Dakota winter). Can I use this to start my car/boat engine? Our DL+ line of batteries have 1000cca of engine starting power plus the same legendary deep cycle capabilities of all Dakota Lithium batteries. That means you can use them for starting a boat, car or truck engine. Our standard deep cycle batteries do not have this cold cranking ability and can not be used for a starting battery. What Trolling Motor Battery Do You Recommend? "Dakota Lithium is a proud sponsor of over 200+ professional athletes in the fishing industry. For a deep dive on trolling motor batteries read How to Choose A Lithium Battery for Trolling Motors" What battery do I need for my RV or Camper Van? The industry standard house battery size used in most RVs, Campers, and #VanLife builds is the DL 100Ah battery. This is a drop in replacement for AGM and most lead acid batteries. If you are charging off your engine's alternator we recommend a Victron DC-DC smart charger. If charging off solar panels we recommend a Victron Smart Solar charge controller, or if you have a solar charge controller choose the lithium setting. A handy size chart for number of batteries needed by size of RV is available here.
