Bernardaud & Cie. Limoges green quilted floral gilded porcelain demitasse cup & saucer. The bottom of the cup is marked D & CO FRANCE. The bottom of the saucer is marked L. BERNARDAUD & CIE. LIMOGES. D & CO FRANCE. WILLIAM H. PLUMMER. 26 WEST 22ND ST. NEW YORK. We believe that this set dates to around 1900 during the partnered company’s transition phase. The set is beautifully designed with a geometric green quilted pattern ground with framed bordered floral embellishments. The set is also heavily gilded throughout. The saucer measures roughly 4 1/4” in diameter. The cup measures roughly 2 1/4” in height. The rim of the cup measures roughly 2 3/8” in diameter. The set weighs 4 oz. The set appears to be free of any chips, cracks, or repairs, though it does have aging, wear, fading, scratches, nicks, manufacturing imperfections, and general wear (see pictures).
