Description: Up for bid is a wonderful vintage Valentine postcard. Featured is a colorful lithographic illustration of an adorable post-Victorian era Dutch girl wearing her country's native attire. Below is a beautifully printed greeting. When you supersize image 1 you can see the wonderful details. The artistry's terrific and the colors are still vivid. I'm sure that Frances Brundage, one of the most talented and prolific artists of postcards at the beginning of the last century, has provided the illustration, as it epitomizes her style. When you supersize image 2 you can see that this beautiful postcard was printed in pre-WWI Germany, and published by Raphael Tuck & Sons (one of Brundage's favorite publishers). It was part of their "Valentine series of Post Cards No. 100". It has been posted and has a 1907 cancellation across the one-cent stamp on the divided back. Here is a wonderful old card that is desirable in many ways. It is ready for framing, will make a thoughtful gift or can be added to your postcard collection. Some lucky collector gets to take this lovely card home. Will it be you?!? Cute DUTCH GIRL On Beautiful TUCK Uns.
