The piece contains a brand new Sankyo Orpheus 3 tune 50 note changing musical movement, which resides on a solid wooden base that provides excellent sound resonance. The musical movement features a winding key which is located on the bottom of the base, and an on/ off lever which is accessible from the front of the base (see photos).
