Custom Built Van Halen Frankenstrat Replica Guitar

Description: This is a custom built replica of Eddie Van Halen's famous Frankenstrat, which is undoubtably one of the most iconic guitars of all time. It's not reliced, nor does it have a polished factory finish. It was very carefully and intentionally finished to have a patina you would expect if an incredibly talented musician taped off and painted his own guitar in his back yard using only spray paint and masking tape, haha. I think the results turned out well. The guitar was built using quality parts and is a player's guitar to the core. It wasn't built to be a wall decoration, although it does look extremely cool hanging on the wall when you're not playing it. Here are few of the details: The guitar has a basswood body and only weighs 6.1 lbs. Compared to other strat style guitars It feels light as a feather and yet is still perfectly balanced. See the last two photos. Your back and shoulders will thank you!It has a smooth, satin finished maple neck and fretboard. The profile is a classic C shape with a 9.5" radius and has 22 medium jumbo frets. The frets are crowned, polished and smoothly rolled over at the fret ends. It's a great playing neck. It's 2 way truss rod is adjust at the headstock.The bridge is equipped with a Seymour Duncan JB-4 Humbucker. (16.5K) The JB-4 humbucker, if you listen to Seymour Duncan describe it, is the most popular pickup in the world. It's high output, incredible midrange and articulation make it a perfect fit for this guitar.The volume is a 500K push-pull pot that will activate coil splitting on the bridge humbucker for those times you are looking for that classic single coil sound.The non-working neck pickup is a replica of the original phenolic flatwork pickup that Eddie installed in the original. The guitar also includes a vintage style, spring action, non-funtioning 5 way switch placed in the middle pickup position just like the original.The guitar is equipped with Schaller style tuners with a 16:1 gear ratio. They are very precise and turn with ease.It comes equipped with a high quality, Switchcraft audio jack.The guitar is also equipped with a Wilkinson big block tremolo bridge. It comes with a push in style tremolo arm. You can adjust the tension of the arm with the same small hex wrench used to adjust the bridge saddle hights. I'll include one with the shipment.The guitar comes equipped with Grover style, quick release strap locks. These will help keep the guitar secured to your body while playing it. You won't have to worry about trying to figure out where you accidently dropped the guitar while performing live on stage. How embarrassing is that? Strap locks! You'll thank me later.It's strung with brand new Ernie Ball Super Slinky 9-42 strings.The guitar's neck is straight, the frets are leveled, the action set low and it's intonated but any of those can be impacted by a change in climate and humidity during shipping.
