Currier and Ives Vintage Desk Lamp New York Museum Collection Winter Snowy Cozy

Description: For sale is a pre-owned Currier and Ives American Winter Scene small desk lamp. I believe it is from New York Musueum collection from 2002. Inspired by a scene from the American Winter collection. Has an on/off switch on cord. Frosted bell shaped shade, hand painted winter scene on shade. The painting is done on the inside of the shade (see pictures) .. give more of a frosty look to the exterior of the shade. The painted scene is very homey, dipicts a snowy calm winter scene - New England styled house and barn with horse drawn carriage, rock wall, piles of wood, snowy trees. The details to the lamp shade is beautiful The frost class edges of shade are "ruffled". Brushed bronze metal finish stem and topper. Base has a Lily Pad design, similar to a Tiffany style base. Light bulb (similar to night light bulb used). Light works great. Very calming and soothing lamp. First few pictures (lighted) are used with the nightlight bulb (a bit dimmer than a regular bulb), the brighter picutres shows when a stonger light bulb is used. The last few photos shows the inside of the shade (where the handpainting was done). Beautiful lamp for any season, but especially during the winter snowy seasons and holidays. It reminds me of the Kinkade styled images. Item is in fanastic condition. There is a small chip on the top of the lampshade (where the top metal piece fits over - see pictures), not visible as covered. Weighs 1 lb 8 oz. Height of small lamp is 11 inches tall.
