Separates into three parts, The top cover and base are not attached to the bottle portion with the liquid and wax due to the bottle in liquid heating up. wax color: looks florescent yellow when cold, bright yellow or orangish yellow depending on the lighting when operational. The bottle does not open and clearly states not to open or drink it on top. When the wax is cooled you can see a slight discoloration to it on the bottom. But it is not noticeable as the wax is moving in the liquid. 13 and 1/2 in tall by 3 and 1/2 in wide. It takes a while for the liquid to heat up and the wax to flow. I have included photos of the lamp when it is cold, when it is heating up and has strange pencil-like pieces of wax, when it is operational.
