Description: Crafty Handmade Wine Bottle Cozy featuring SANTA, 1960s ~ 100% Unique Some mom in the 1960s must've designed and made this when she decided a naked wine bottle was unsightly. She thought, "Why does this Sauvignon Blanc have to be so ugly? So bare - Not festive at all?" And so she devised this Santa Wine Bottle Cozy and began to gather her supplies. She needed some red fabric, 2 small pieces of iron-on patches cut like mittens (green), some gold glitter glue and some elmer's glue, a piece of white felt for the hat trim and beard, some black felt (for the belt & shoes), some face color felt, and some small jewels or sequins--small pearls would be good) and a sewing machine. She made the base red piece with a sewing machine but you could use red felt. [side note:I think the belt needs some gold glitter glue where it is yellow--I'll let the buyer do that.] She had to invent the pattern for the bottle and also for the beard, unless she got it from a ladies' magazine! Oh snap! I bet that's exactly what she did. I do not know who made it, and it came to me just as it is. I'm highly motivated to get it in the hands of someone who will truly appreciate it. I was in this FB group and they all seemed to love handmade things from the 60s--and so, here we are.
